Your Health Insurance
Before your studies begin, there are numerous things that have to be organised: A reliable health insurance is particularly important.
You cannot begin studying in Germany as long as you do not possess any health insurance coverage - you are obliged to show the university / college evidence of an existing health insurance policy.
Bachelor and master students
Under German law, everybody studying at a state-recognised [approved] college or university is required to take out health insurance. Therefore you will need to submit an insurance certificate (Krankenversicherungnachweis) when you enroll at college or university. This applies only to bachelor and master students and not for Ph.D. students.
